Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
I hope you are all well. We are delighted to be back in school and are very happy with the systems and routines that have been established in the first week.
All the girls have been extremely co-operative and I thank you as parents for your continued support during this challenging time.
Duleek GNS and BNS have updated their FAQ section today. It is attached to this message and I advise you to make yourself aware of the contents of the documents.
It addresses the following:
· When should I not send my child to school?
· What to do if my child has any Coronavirus symptoms?
· When can I send my child back to school?
· When does supervision start?
Your daughter’s class teacher will be sharing her email with you next week. If you want to communicate a straightforward piece of information with your daughter’s teacher, the email can be used for this purpose.
Teachers will not be checking this email throughout the day. It will be checked in the morning at 10:00 and once in the afternoon after school. This is to ensure teachers can focus their efforts on their work and pupils in their class.
If your message is detailed and may require multiple back and forth emails, please email your daughter’s teacher requesting a phone call. Please note teachers can’t conduct face to face appointments at this time.
If your message is urgent and needs to be communicated straight away, please ring the office or email duleekgirls2009@gmail.com. We will try our best to pass this message on to your daughter.
We as a school value and appreciate the vital role that you have in your daughter’s education. It is important to keep communication pathways open and clear for everyone during this time.
Finally, our school featured on RTE News2day last Monday the 31st of August. The footage was taken in advance of pupils returning this week. The footage shows the different types of control measures that primary schools have put in place to ensure a safe return to school. It is still available to view on the RTE player.
Kind regards,
Mr. McGovern
